I have been to many tourist attractions in the world. But if talking about the most impressive one, I would say it is Angkor Wat. It is an ancient city in Cambodia that has already existed for more than 900 years. It was abandoned in the deep forest for many centuries and was rediscovered 100 years ago.
Now Angkor Wat has already become one of the world-famous heritage sites and it attracts millions of people every year. On the site, you can see tons of ancient sculptures and decorations. They are all extremely beautiful and full of stories. Most characters come from Hindu religions and epics such as Ramayana.
Angkor Wat was lost in the forest for centuries, so apparently, everything besides the stones disappeared with time. And even the stone temple and sculptures were slowly destroyed by nature. What a pity we can never know what happened to this ancient culture and why they left this beautiful city. But this broken ruin is the most beautiful man-made structure I have ever seen. It already blends into nature. In some temples, you can see the root of trees spill over the wall like a gigantic octopus. You will be shocked by the power of both history and nature.
For everyone who likes history and travel, Angkor Wat is a must-visit place in your lifetime. You will never regret coming here.
